Money Matters: Managing Finances Today, for a More Secure Tomorrow

Friday, July 31
10:30 am - 11:45 am

Widespread savings shortfalls and debt are emerging as serious challenges to households of color. How do we ward off these threats? This workshop will walk participants through the tough choices that determine long-term financial health: where and how long to work, how much to save, how to allocate pension assets, when to claim Social Security and pension benefits, how to manage assets throughout retirement. Panelists will examine the complex financial products that are now available and share innovative educational tools that can improve financial literacy and decision-making.
